The Kerf Works Story
Kerf Works USA was born out of a shared favorite pastime of a few friends searching for a creative outlet. We started with inspiration from past generations who came from a time when a basic knowledge of working in a wood shop was commonplace; as our aspirations became reality we found a passion for the craft. At first we had only the basic tools (a drill, a jigsaw and a few hammers) but over a couple of years we gathered tools through used sale purchases and gifted hand-me-downs and eventually began to form a working shop. For a couple of years we joked that we should quit our day jobs and start a business woodworking full-time; as we began building more and more work for ourselves as well as for friends and family the idea came closer to reality and finally in the summer of 2016 Kerf Works was created. We officially opened for business in 2018, working together we continue to challenge ourselves and build quality, custom items that bring functionality, warmth and integrity to any space.
The idea that ultimately brought Kerf Works USA to life came from a desire to take an important and ever-growing role in bringing back high-quality and reliable craftsmanship through an avenue of small, local and honest business practices with an emphasis on personable, communicative service. It is very important to us that small business has an opportunity to thrive and to do that we have to provide great quality and very honest, personal service for everyone we do business with; we strive to achieve these goals on a daily basis through every interaction.

As our business has grown, we have had opportunities to build beautiful and challenging pieces for people around the world. We now have clients throughout the United States and Canada as well as a few overseas. We are so grateful for having the opportunity to create works of art that are proudly featured in the homes of our clients around the world.
